đź›» Check Your Truck Before You Tow

Before reserving a trailer, please take a moment to verify your truck’s towing capacity and the type of material you’ll be hauling. Our dump trailers are heavy-duty and require the right vehicle and setup for safe operation.

âś… Be sure your truck has the proper tow rating, brake controller, 2 5/16" hitch ball, and a 7-pin trailer connection.
⚠️ Overloading based on weight (not just volume) can damage your vehicle or the trailer.

⚖️ Why Your Truck’s Size Doesn’t Change the Trailer’s Weight Limit

Even if you’re towing with a heavy-duty truck like a 2500 or 3500, you must never exceed the trailer’s rated payload capacity. Your truck might be capable of pulling more — but the trailer is only built to carry a specific amount of weight safely.

🚫 Here’s Why the Limit Still Matters:

The trailer’s axles, suspension, tires, brakes, and frame are all engineered to handle a specific maximum weight (known as the payload capacity).

  • Tire blowouts
  • Axle or frame damage
  • Brake failure
  • Dangerous handling or swaying on the road

Overloading a trailer is also a DOT violation and could lead to fines or legal liability if there’s an incident.
