Job Title:

White Glove Trash & Recycling Collection Driver

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and focused individual to join our team as a White Glove Trash/Recycling Collection Driver. As a key member of our waste management crew, you will be responsible for driving designated routes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays to pick up and empty trash and recycling carts from our White Glove Subscribers' residences.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct scheduled collections of trash and recycling carts from subscribers' residences.

  2. Safely attach and detach trailers to the collection vehicle as needed for hauling waste materials.

  3. Maneuver trailers and box trucks skillfully, including backing in and out of driveways, while maintaining a focus on safety.

  4. Properly tie down and secure loads to prevent shifting or spillage during transport.

  5. Perform at-source sorting of recyclables, including but not limited to boxboard, corrugated cardboard, metal, plastic, and paper.

  6. Interface with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have.

  7. Ensure efficient and organized loading and unloading of waste materials onto the collection truck.

  8. Keep the collection truck highly organized and maintained for optimal efficiency and safety.

  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating the collection truck and handling waste materials.

  10. Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

  11. Assist with additional duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  1. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  2. Proficient in attaching and detaching trailers to vehicles.

  3. Capable of hauling and safely maneuvering trailers in and out of driveways.

  4. Willingness to undergo additional training or certification related to safe driving practices, if required by the company.

  5. Previous experience in waste management or a related field is preferred but not required.

  6. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions.

  7. Comfortable with handling waste materials as part of daily duties.

  8. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain order and cleanliness in the work environment.

  10. Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.

  11. Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures.

  12. Flexibility to work Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
